Kate was absolutely fantastic. She made me feel at ease straight away and was very relatable and normal! We had an initial consultation via teams, and we then met at John Lewis for a half day personal shop. She had organised a lovely suite, so it was a really relaxing, fun experience - considering how anxious I was about the whole thing that is no insignificant achievement! Kate had a rail of clothes ready to go when I arrived, and then she tailored things as we went. She was running in and out, finding new things that worked based on how the session developed. We then moved onto Zara and she looked after me in an environment I would have previously hated and avoided. I came away with a new wardrobe, that cost much less than I feared and feeling far more confident in myself then when we started. I now have a few new brands I hadn't previously considered on my go to list and a better understanding of where I need to head for tops and trousers that will suit my body shape and budget. I'm considering letting her lose on my husband and I'm sure I'll be back shopping with her in no time, adding a few spring/summer pieces into the mix. I booked a shopping trip with Kate after a friend recommended her to me. Since having my daughter 3 years ago I had really struggled to regain a sense of style. Working with Kate was a great experience. When visiting my home she really got a full understanding of my wardrobe and what gaps I had. She gave me a lot of food for thought and I really got to reflect on that before we went out on the shop. I was really missing plain basic items which would help bring my wardrobe together.The day of the shop was really successful, Kate had already completed the pre-shop and I had a rail of potential items. Interestingly I would probably not have picked up many of these if I was shopping solo. We did a lot of work on separates as that what my wardrobe was lacking. Kate showed me different ways of wearing all the garments for different events. Dressing things up and down, altering the look for casual, smart and work.I had a really success day and came away with some great additions to my wardrobe. Now I am working on integrating them into my wardrobe for all occasions and not being limited to when or where I wear it. (This is actually quite hard!!!) I can’t express how much I enjoyed both of my sessions with Kate. From the first email/call I knew she’d be the perfect fit to help me get my style back. After 2 kids and body changes(!) I felt really flat about my clothes, my wardrobe was full of junk that didn’t fit, I hated shopping and didn’t know how to get my style back. The wardrobe detox was brilliant - I couldn’t have got sorted it without her. I reached out to Kate in the hope that she could make me feel better about how i looked, as i've gained weight and didn't quite know how i should wear my clothes now. After chatting, I decided to have a wardrobe detox. We spent the time talking about each item and whether it fitted and how i felt in it. I was surprised how easy it was to remove items from a jam packed wardrobe with Kate there. I'd have never been able to do this by myself. She then spent time rearranging my wardrobe, so i could see what i had and needed. It turned out that all i really needed was jackets to bring everything together.A week later we met up to get the missing items and i would have never picked what she did or gone into some of the shops. Not only did she help me find loads of essential items for my wardrobe, but she seemed to instantly *get* me and the aesthetic I wanted. She was also *so* friendly and put me at ease straightaway. The three-hour personal shop basically felt like shopping with a fashion-savvy friend who took care of everything... She did all the legwork while I just tried pieces on and had fun! Kate was absolutely brilliant. I was a little unsure of what to expect from a stylist appointment but she put my mind at ease with a Zoom call to chat through what I was looking for ahead of the shopping day.On the day, she'd done a massive pre-shop then darted in and out of the room to swap sizes and get additional items to complement outfits which removed all of the effort, thinking and stress that I usually associate with trying to find new clothes. By the end of the first shop, I had a fantastic base wardrobe so we could target specific items in the remaining shops, most of which she had already put aside before I arrived.Not only did she tell me what would suit me, but she also went into how I should wear different items and how to dress different items up and down.By the end of the day, I had a massive new wardrobe (I did say I needed a complete fresh start) of clothes that can almost all be worn interchangeably. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a new look or some different ideas.

Kate was incredibly helpful. Her guidance and explanation of how to put outfits together with a few new clothes made me realise that less is more. You don't need to buy the whole shop to have a few outfits that work for you. Kate picked clothes that are me but also a few out of my comfort zone and I realise seeing clothes through her eyes that I can wear other colours or cuts that I'm not used to because they do work for me. After 2 kids I had lost my identity and lived in baggy hoodies and leggings. I booked a call with Kate and felt like we immediately clicked. She understood what I wanted and was so professional and friendly.On the day of the shop I was really nervous and Kate put me at ease. It was like shopping with your best friend. Kate took me to the shops and showed me the clothes she had picked out for me. The clothes she had chosen were great and she showed me how to style them. Kate would then go back onto the shop floor and come back with other things to style with it. All the items went together and I was left feeling confident with how to wear them. I recently opted for a wardrobe detox and personal shopping experience with Kate and I couldnt recommend both highly enough!My wardrobe had become tired and tatty - mostly working from home meant I was hanging around in old joggers and jumpers during the day and as I dont go out as much any more I was wearing 'old faithful's' that had become threadbare and boring.The detox was very cathartic - Kate made me feel brave enough to get rid of things that didnt make me feel good anymore and to release some of those tatty loved items with the view to upgrading them.The shop was sooooo much fun! Incredible experience! I highly recommend Kate to anyone who wants to find their style, refresh their wardrobe or touch up on existing preferences. The Style By team absolutely nailed it!!I was gifted a wardrobe detox by my wife and it was fantastic. Kate was with me for over 3 hours going through my existing clothes and finding gaps in my outfits. By the end of the session, I had 2 bags of clothes for the charity shop and I felt refreshed and motivated to get the extra items needed to pull all my outfits together. Kate was such fun to work with so I opted for the personal shop experience. I wish all shopping trips were as fun as this! Kate was an absolute pleasure to work with. Kate was just fantastic!I had an afternoon personal shop gifted to me over the holidays after I dropped plenty of hints that I needed help sorting out a wardrobe. Right from our first call, Kate went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and made every effort to get to know me and what I was after ahead of meeting up in the Bullring for an afternoon of trying on outfits. Even before that day she was in steady contact, making me feel completely at ease.On the day itself she knew exactly what she was doing. She'd been around all the shops for several hours before we met up to set clothes aside, meaning she could focus on taking me from store to store and explaining all the styles, fits and fashions that she'd picked out for me. In the changing rooms she helped me try on different looks, combining pieces and teaching me what worked and why. She'd fetch different sizes, took my feedback on board but most importantly pushed me to try on things that I'd never have normally gone near! Specifically though as a curvy girl I really appreciated her commitment to making me feel comfortable and empowered in clothing - helping me flatter my figure but more importantly helping me understand why some things worked for me better than others. Kate worked with me to save the piece I love and cut the things that just didn’t belong anymore. She also helped by showing me a heap of options on how to style what I had in numerous different ways.Then came the shop, after the detox I realised that what I hadn’t got was a lot of the basics that would help my wardrobe work well for me. Normally I dread shopping I just can’t get things to work and never know what actually suits me. Kate made it such a laugh.We had a pre call and made a plan of action so on the day I just showed up tried on what Kate already had waiting for me and decided what I loved and wanted to take away. It was painless and hilarious Kate made me feel so at ease even when putting me in things at little out of my comfort zone. She was also happy to listen when things just weren’t feeling write.
